Half-term holiday?

More produce from the allotment. It looks as if I'll have to make more raspberry jam. The grapes are edible but a little on the tart side!

This may look insignificant but it is a new apple tree - Chris says it will revert to its original type - so Crab Apple here we come.

The little and large pumpkins ready for Hallowe’en fun.
So, Daisy and I set about pumpkin carving - she really enjoyed the 'gloopy' bits! No wielding of knives though - Health and Safety, don't you know.

“Ready – battens and insulation up”
“Steady – plasterboard going up”
“Done” This is the front room downstairs and will eventually be the new sitting room. Behind the new insulation and plasterboard is the blocked up window. We hope to build a fireplace for the new wood burning stove on this wall.

More raspberries – the freezer is now officially full of frozen fruit! Good to see beetroot, carrots and more ‘tart’ grapes – wine anyone?
More lovely potatoes from the allotment.

Bless him, Matthew being cheery about the ‘performance’ – misguided loyalty I fear or an overabundance of good manners!

“Not impressed hey, Madeleine” Both Madeleine and Matthew enjoyed the lantern making though. Daisy’s treat was the performance of ‘The Shoe Kangaroo’ but due to poor take up all the lantern-making crew were asked along to swell the numbers – I think it is clear what Madeleine thought.
Daisy's face tells it all - move over Mark Kermode, super critic on her way.
Daisy’s face tells it all “I’ve lost the will to live and by the way, where was the kangaroo?”
