One week to go! Sunday 22nd November

Okay – as most of you know who follow this blog (and we are very grateful that you do, poor fools), our sons are due back in the UK for the Festive Season. James (twin no. 1) and his lovely girlfriend, Mariery who run a great little design business called Mezclao Studio will be here on Saturday 28th November and as their room is not yet finished and the one bathroom we had is now in a state of disarray we are seriously concerned as to whether we will be anywhere near to a point of receiving guests (albeit family and they SHOULD put up with almost anything!). So see what we achieve this week and follow our daily blog – like a hideous form of advent calendar!

So, here is the 'guest suite' - as you can see not exactly in a fit state for visitors even if they are family!

You know the saying 2things get worse before they get better" - well, this is it in action. Floor up ready for more electrics.

Chris putting in the wiring for the underfloor heating circuit. This will be in the new en-suite (chortle, chortle – in our, at present, dreams).
Finished putting in the thermostat and controls for the underfloor heating in the new en-suite.

Bathroom coming along well. As this is now Sunday afternoon (2.45pm) we have managed to take out the old sink and the old bath, put in new basin and taps, new bath and taps, new light fitting and I have started tiling. Unfortunately the tile cutter is at Prospect House so we are a bit scuppered until Chris comes up with plan B. Watch out for the update later on this evening ...
